Kate Ellis
Yoga Instructor

Qualifications:

British Wheel Diploma | REPs Level 3

Specialist areas:
Teacher trainer on UK'’s leading training Yoga therapy and one-to-ones

Kate has studied Yoga all over the world with some of the world'’s most inspiring teachers for over twenty years. Yet her deepest experience came with a dedicated study with one teacher in a one-to-one setting. Her approach is modern and bio-mechanically savvy and continuously takes into account, the uniqueness of the individual.

Having taught on two of the UK's leading teacher training programmes for both Yoga teachers and Yoga therapists for over six years, Kate has discovered that practicing yoga poses according to some of the more classical traditions, without taking into account individual anatomy can sometimes lead to stress and instability.

The discovery of going WITH a student’s individual anatomy simply makes the  joy and freedom that yoga offers more accessible. Her classes aim to balance out the often over-emphasised need for flexibility with strength building. Though challenging, the reward is commonly a flexible but stable body, which in turn improves breathing, posture and the mental capacity to become present.

Kate has been a regular teacher at both triyoga and The Life Centre in London for nearly ten years and having relocated to Brighton, now runs popular trainings for teachers to learn the art of teaching Yoga one-to-one.
